Mikel is Part of Our Problem - Chelsea's Club Legend Reveals

John Obi Mikel who has been in action regularly following the gross under-performance of first-choice midfield pair Fabregas and Matic, has been alleged to be one of the factors responsible for Chelsea's slump in their current campaign.

Former English footballer,  Alan Anthony Hudson, who began his footballing career with Chelsea, and played there for six years as well as the England national football team, has argued that John Obi Mikel is one of the factors responsible for Chelsea’s slump in their current campaign.

The Super Eagles star, has been in action regularly following the gross under-performance of first-choice midfield pair, Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic.

However, Mikel has failed to impress and it’s perhaps little coincidence that some of his appearances for the Blues have coincided with their poorest results of the campaign.

The midfielder started in the 3-1 loss to Everton, the 2-1 away defeat to FC Porto in the Champions League, the Capital One Cup elimination at the hands of Stoke City and last weekend’s 3-1 loss at Liverpool. He also featured for 45 minutes in the Blues’ 2-1 loss away at West Ham United.

Alan Hudson believes that sub-par players like Mikel and under performing striker Diego Costa are the chief reason why the West Londoners are struggling this season.

"I think they need a facelift. You can’t carry on with players like John Obi Mikel, you need better players than that in midfield.
"They need a clearout of players. Branislav Ivanovic has been tremendous for them but he seems to have hit a brick wall at right back.
"When they bought Pedro from Barcelona at the start of the season I thought it would give Chelsea more width, with him on one side and Eden Hazard on the other, and they would open their game out a bit.
"They play through the middle too much and rely on Diego Costa up front too much. Costa, in my opinion, is nowhere near as good as people make him out to be," Hudson told Reuters.

Ben Carson Says Egypt's Pyramids Were Not Built For Pharaohs, But For...

U.S. Presidential hopeful and the world's most popular neuro-surgeon, Ben Carson, has debunked popular belief that pyramids were built for pharaohs
Ben Carson

Ben Carson has said that Egypt's pyramids were built by the biblical Joseph to store grain and were not, as archaeologists believe, tombs for pharaohs.

AFP reports that the retired neurosurgeon seeking his Republican party's nomination for the White House made these remarks in an address at Andrews University, a school associated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, to which he belongs, in a video posted Wednesday on Buzzfeed. The church is a conservative evangelical Christian one.

"My own personal theory is that Joseph built the pyramids to store grain," Carson said.

"Now all the archeologists think that they were made for the pharaohs’ graves. But, you know, it would have to be something awfully big if you stop and think about it. And I don't think it'd just disappear over the course of time to store that much grain."

Carson added: "And when you look at the way that the pyramids are made, with many chambers that are hermetically sealed, they'd have to be that way for various reasons. And various of scientists have said, 'Well, you know there were alien beings that came down and they have special knowledge and that's how, you know, it doesn't require an alien being when God is with you."

See the 8 Most Annoying Things Local Girls Do in Order to Seem Civilised

In order to feel among and to appear civilized, most Nigerian local girls adopt a certain manner that many consider very annoying.
*Insert picture is used for illustrative purpose*

1. They stop holding conversation with their neighbours.
This reminds me when Prof Tosyne2much said some ladies will stop greeting and holding conversation with their neighbours the moment they find their way into the university/polytechnic. There's no two way about this, only local girls act this way. After their first semester, they will return to the area and start behaving to neighbour that they are no more of the same class.

2. They scam guys
Some local ladies are even better than yahoo guys when it comes to scamming guys. Just because they need money for their upkeep, they will resort to scamming guys who show them love. Their purpose of going into relationships, is to seek financial support because they don't want to be left Behind.

3. They adopt fake accent
Some of them will even pretend that they don't know how to speak Yoruba even though their accent reeks of Ijebu. They adopt fake accent even though it's obvious that they have never been to ordinary Cotonou before. You may hear them speaking like the British and Americans especially when you approach them. Hardly will you understand what some of them are saying. cheesycheesy

4. They use bosom and butt enhancer
Though this is peculiar to an average Nigerian lady but the extent at which local girl do it, is annoying. You will seeing them wearing undersized bra, padded pant and bra to make themselves attractive to guys. As dem no fine, na to use butt enhancer.

5. Frequent uploading of DPs
I have observed that when a local girl is opportune to visit exotic shopping malls, she snaps numerous pictures and use it sporadically on her BBM as if she wants to contest for a pageant show. The most annoying thing is that she will write it on her PM having nice time at London.

6. They Claim "Hard to get"
Na dem dey do shakara pass when guys woo them. Their shakara is out of this world. They are always very selective. Give Jesus Christ to them and they will find something to complain about him. gringrin

7. They claim wealthy background
It's expected that every lady should take pictures at good background but the way some ladies do it, is very annoying. Some local girls can take pictures at exotic places and they will drain your megabyte with their frequent uploads gringrin

8. They go become secret Oloshos
This is a well known method for local ladies who exchange their kitty cat for money. These are the types you see saying they can't date their mates, rather, you flock around politicians, married men, 419s, etc, who never for once thought their destiny is at stake.

The young lawyer behind the corruption petitions against former governor of Akwa Ibom state, Godswill Akpabio has been slammed with charges of defamation.
Godswill Akpabio

A lawyer who accused former Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom of corruption, has been arraigned in court for defamation, according to Premium Times.

Leo Ekpenyong was arraigned by the police at the High Court in Gudu District, Abuja. Mr. Ekpenyong appeared in court on Thursday.

He was charged for the alleged unsubstantiated allegations he made against top officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, while appearing on African Independent Television, AIT.

Mr. Ekpenyong had accused the EFCC of intimidating him, and refusing to investigate Mr. Akpabio. He had earlier threatened legal action against the EFCC, if it failed to investigate allegations of corruption against Mr. Akpabio.

Mr. Ekpenyong, who had sent several petitions to the commission, vowed to use every legal instrument available to ensure that Mr. Akpabio was probed.

In a four-page petition dated June 8, which was copied to President Muhammadu Buhari and sent to the online news platform, Mr. Ekpenyong had called for an immediate investigation and prosecution of Mr. Akpabio.

When the former governor was not charged to court, Mr. Ekpenyong took on the EFCC during a live interview with the AIT. He questioned the integrity of the commission’s leadership and expressed his loss of confidence in its ability to bring Mr. Akpabio to justice.

The commission later invited Mr. Ekpenyong on Monday, October 26, and interrogated him over the allegations he made during the television programme.

He was released after being grilled for hours.
