Those Who Took Nigeria's Money Abroad Will Be Brought Back and Prosecuted - EFCC

Nigeria's foremost anti-graft agency, EFCC, has restated its complete commitment to beaming its flashlight on corrupt politicians.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has said that with the renewed fight against graft in the country, corrupt Nigerians will have no hiding place.

The Punch reports that the EFCC Zonal Head, South-South, Mr. Ishaq Salihu, made this remark during a stakeholders’ meeting with pipeline surveillance contractors organised by the 2 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Salihu explained that measures have been put in place to ensure that Nigerians who stole from the nation’s coffers and take their loot outside the shores of the country were forced back home and prosecuted.

The anti-graft chief pointed that the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari had shown the political will to fight corruption, even as recommended that stiffer punishment should be meted out to those involved in corrupt practices.

He specifically said that the Federal Government had entered a treaty with the government of the United Arab Emirate to ensure that Nigerians who stole the nation’s money to purchase any item in Dubai would be back home and prosecuted.

Salihu said: “There is now a political will to fight corruption. The President Muhammadu Buhari administration has shown this. We went to Dubai and signed a treaty that all those who took the nation’s money abroad and bought items would be brought back home and prosecuted.

“Those involved in corruption should be made to face stiffer punishment. Only very few in the country are getting what should be used for the development of this country.

“Now, there is a deliberate shift and anybody that does not believe that the narrative has changed is living in a dreamland. We can stem the tide of corruption by giving timely information to EFCC and other security agencies.

“When you see a person who has no source of livelihood, you say the person has made it. But at the end, you realise that the person has kidnapped somebody’s daughter.”

He expressed dissatisfaction that some Nigerians were involved in arms deal scandal, oil scam and pension scam, adding that the EFCC and other security agents were security agents were trying their best to tackle corruption and other social vices.

Mark Zuckerberg 'Responds' to Kanye West's Twitter Plea for Money

Kanye West has gotten a subtle reply from CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg after he begged him to invest a whopping $1 billion in his ventures.

Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly issued a subtle response to Kanye West’s plea for money.

Kanye had over the weekend begged Zuckerberg to invest $1 billion in his art as he revealed he's $53 million in debt.

In a series of tweets, he wrote: "Mark Zuckerberg invest 1 billion dollars into Kanye West ideas ...after realizing he is the greatest living artist and greatest artist of all time.

"Mark Zuckerberg I know it's your bday but can you please call me by 2mrw... You love hip hop, you love my art... I am your favorite artist but you watch me barely breathe and still play my album in your house ... World, please tweet, FaceTime, Facebook, instagram, whatever you gotta do to get Mark to support me...(sic)”

Zuckerberg didn’t respond with a statement, but he did appear to like a Facebook user’s status about Kanye’s ambitious bid.

In a now-deleted post by a former Facebook software engineer named Steven Grim, he wrote: "Dear Kanye West: If you’re going to ask the CEO of Facebook for a billion dollars, maybe don’t do it on Twitter.”

In the rant, the rapper also claimed he is this generation's Disney who needs the resources to make the world a better place.

He continued: "I'm this generation's Disney... I want to bring dope s**t to the world.. I don't have enough resources to create what I really can...

"Mark, I am publicly asking you for help... one of the coolest things you could ever do is to help me in my time of need."

Policeman Arrests His Girlfriend After She Turns Down His Proposal in a Busy Shopping Mall (Photos)

A policeman proposed to his girlfriend in a busy shopping centre but she turned him down and then he does the unthinkable.

The man enters the shopping centre to meet his girlfriend

Shoppers were left astonished when a 'policeman' handcuffed a woman after she turned down his engagement proposal in a Valentine's Day stunt.

According to Daily Mail, the dramatic act was actually a prank filmed by Pranksters Trollstation at a shopping mall in Wood Green, north London, with the group of onlookers cheering and smiling at what appeared to start out as a wildly romantic gesture.

But their delight soon turned to disbelief when the actress declined the proposal and the pretend policeman handcuffed her for publicly humiliating him

In the video, which has now been viewed nearly 300,000 times on Facebook and YouTube, the fake policeman goes rushing over to his fellow actor, who is waiting beside a flower stall dressed in a red tartan dress and heels.

The actor, called Nathan Brown, picks her up and spins her round, saying: 'Baby, I'm so happy to see you today.'

Trying to get the attention of shoppers, he shouts: 'Look, sorry to bother everyone. I just want to make an announcement.'

He turns to his fellow actress, called Amina Maz, and says: 'I've loved you for so long.'

Attempting to interject, the woman says: 'But we're supposed to be working things out.'

The man replies: 'We are, we're perfect for each other. I want to have babies with you. You're the only one I love, I want to be with you.'

As he then goes down on one knee and presents her with an engagement ring, the crowd starts cheering - but soon fall awkwardly silent when it becomes clear the man's feelings aren't reciprocated.

The woman says: 'We've been on five dates, I can't marry you. It's too much.'

Seemingly heartbroken, the man gets back up onto both feet and says: 'So now I look like an idiot in front of everyone."

As she appears to try to smooth things over, the man angrily replies: 'No, don't baby me. I thought you loved me'

A woman onlooker tells him to 'calm down', but the man's tirade continues. 'You've embarrassed me in front of every one. Listen yeah, I loved you,' he says.

He then demands that the woman turns around, and clamps handcuffs over her wrists as the shoppers look on in astonishment.

'Turn around, you've embarrassed me in front of everyone. That's it. You're going. You're under arrest.'

Addressing the ever-growing crowd around him, he shouts: 'If she loved me she wouldn't have done this to me.'

But a concerned onlooker says: 'But if you love someone, you can't do this to her.'

He then leads her past the crowd of people while shouting at her, before the unwitting shoppers are later told they've been part of a prank.

It was the latest in a long line of stunts and 'social experiments' by Trollstation, which has garnered some 170,000,000 views of their antics in total.

Wike Sacks Member of State University for Defecting to APC

Reports have it that Rivers state governor has victimized one Ndubuisi Nwankwo for decamping to the ruling party during his court travails that threatened his gubernatorial position.
Nyesom Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has sacked Ndubuisi Nwankwo, an engineer, as a Member of the Governing Council of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUOE) for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to All Progressives Congress, APC ,according to P.M News.

Nwankwo was a member of the Governorship Inauguration Committee set-up to usher in the administration of Governor Wike anchored on ‘New Rivers Vision’.

He was later appointed a member of the Governing Council of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education.

Wike felt betrayed by Nwankwo for defecting from the PDP to the APC, thinking that the Supreme Court will nullify the April 11 governorship election in Rivers State as the election tribunal and appeal court had earlier sacked Wike.

However, Wike’s mandate was affirmed by the Supreme Court which has led to the sacking of Nwankwo.
