See the 9 Popular Lines Most Nigerian Men Often Use to Woo the Ladies

Nigerian men are known to be great lovers. listed are some of the most hilarious lines they use very often when trying to woo a woman.

A social media user simply known as tosyn2much has compiled a list of hilarious cliches most men use to woo women in Nigeria.
Below is what he wrote:
1. Your face looks Familiar
This is the commonly used punchline that guys use to approach ladies and grab their attention. Take for example, if a lady schooled at Uniben and the guy that wants to approach her schooled at Lagos State university; the guy will be like; please excuse me, your face looks familiar, are you a law student at Ebonyi State university? From there, conversation don start be that.
2. Has anyone ever told you how Beautiful you look?
Since ladies like to be flattered, therefore, guys employ all sort of exaggerations when approaching a lady just to her attention. When ladies are being flattered, this will however reduce their chances of being bashed cheesy
3. Are you an okro Seller? How come you keep Drawing me Closer?
As funny as it sounds, I have used it to approach a lady. The guy will walk up the lady and will be like, do you sell okra at all? cos I don't just know why my heart keeps drawing close to you each time I set my eyes on you
4. Can you spare me a Minute of your Time?
Even if the guy intends to spend two hours of her time, he will always say he only demands one minute of her time. This punchline normally work when the lady is in a hurry. Don't be surprised that the one minute may turn to five hours if care is not taken cheesy
5. Please can you direct me to my Destination?
Some guys will pretend as if they don't know their destination and will use that as a leverage to approach a girl. For example, the guy walks up to the lady and he'd be like; hello! Please I'm going to Ekiti and don't know the right route to take. Please, how far is it? is it possible I trek from Ikeja to Ekiti? Oga go sit down jawe cheesy
6. Do you Stay in this area ?
I'm guilty of this one since I don't know how to approach a lady. This reminds me when I wanted to woo a new occupant in our house sometime last year. After few months of shyness whether to approach her or not. One day, I took the courage to approach her and I was like, " wooow!! I never knew we had such a pretty lady in this compound" I further inquired if she stays in this area and she was like what the fcuk !!! Haven't you been seeing me?
7. You are too Pretty to be walking under this scorching Sun.
This statement is used when a guy is driving and spots a lady. This is to blow a lady's mind and make her look like a goddess. The guy would be like, hello angel, you are too pretty to be walking under this intense sun. Can I give u a lift?cheesy
8. God Said you are my Wife
This method is used by religious zealous. Since they walk in realm of the Holy spirit, they often see revelations of the future happenings and this is not limited to future happenings but also their future wife. When the Holy spirit shows to them the picture of future wives, they will go directly to the lady and will tell her that God showed to me that you are my future wife. Funny enough, some smart guys who don't even know the route to church also adopt this format that the Holy spirit revealed to them to woo a particular lady.
9. Hi ! Can we be Friends?
Guys use this format so that the lady will not think they are up to something. The funniest thing is that, the person who said he only wanted to be a friend will her end up wooing her few days later.

A Man Has to Test Out the Car First - Popular Singer Talks About Having Sex Before Marriage

Tyrese Gibson

37-year-old singer and actor, Tyrese Gibson who is renowned for his gangster roles in Hollywood, says that he can’t marry a woman until he knows what he's getting in the bedroom. He revealed this on a TV Show, "The Doctors" recently when the subject of waiting for marriage before s*x came up.

Tyrese slammed the ideology and claims it just can’t work in a society of high divorce rates:

“It’s enough people getting married and filing for divorce. There’s enough people out here saying, ‘I’m a born again virgin. I’ve had s*x before, but I’m just going to hold back. I don’t know, I’m still trying to figure it out. I’m not going to have s*x, I’m not going to touch you because it’s biblical.

“However, I would say, I’m not willing to potentially marry bad s*x. If I have one car to test drive, you gotta jump in and do a couple turns. Put in reverse, back up. I’m not marrying bad s*x!”

“I believe that God’s correction is for your protection. He’s not saying don’t have s*x so he can hold something from you. There are STD s out there. And think about it. If you’re a woman, would you give a man a key to your apartment on the first date?"

See What Donald Trump Said About Michael Jackson's Sex Life with Elvis Presley's Daughter

Outspoken and highly controversial U.S presidential candidate has spoken out on what he knows about the king of pop, Michael Jackson's s*x life.

Donald Trump claims that Michael Jackson was so randy when he married Elvis’s daughter, Lisa-Marie Presley, that the pair locked themselves in a luxury apartment for seven days of sex.

According to Mirror Online, the U.S presidential runner told the tale about the late pop star while being interviewed at the CNN Republican town hall in South Carolina.

Trump, 69, said about Jackson and Lisa-Marie’s 1994 honeymoon at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida: “I knew Michael Jackson very well. He lived in Trump Tower for a long period of time and would go down to Mar-a-Lago.

“He actually got married – you know, to Lisa Marie Presley – and had a big deal at Mar-a-Lago. He was up there one week with her, sex and all, and he never came down... but they got along.

“People say they didn’t get along but let me tell you they were there for a week and didn’t come down at all.”

Trump also spoke of how he knew “the real story” of Michael Jackson and claimed the singer died after he lost all self-esteem due to “bad, bad, bad surgery”.

He added: “Michael Jackson was actually a very good friend of mine. You know, when he died people would come on and talk about him – people who didn't know him very well.”

Michael Jackson and Lisa-Marie Presley

Trump continued: “Because very few people got to know Michael Jackson but he was an unbelievably talented guy and he lost his confidence. He lost all his confidence. Honestly because of bad, bad, bad surgery. He had people that did numbers on him that was just unbelievable.

“And when you lose your confidence in something you can even lose your talent.”

However, Trump’s comments prompted Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine Jackson to fly into a fury yesterday. The former Jackson 5 singer Jermaine, 61, vented on Twitter that Trump was a ‘fool’ who needed to ‘sit down’ when it came to talk of his brother.

He also accused Trump of name-dropping to try and win votes. Jermaine tweeted: ‘Friends don’t pay tribute by peddling b.s. theories about Michael’s “loss in confidence”. This fool Trump needs to sit down.

‘Michael’s confidence was affected by the pressures, injustice and vitriol of external circumstances. Period. Name-dropping Michael don’t make you cool and won’t win you votes. Especially when using botched facts. It’s “botched surgery” talk that I don’t expect from a friend.’

Usually very outspoken on Twitter, Trump has remained quiet on the social network since Jermaine’s outburst.

Why We Can't Recover Funds Looted by Ex-Minister, Alison-Madueke, Others - Presidency

As the fight against corruption by the President Buhari led federal government intensifies, a new development has emerged as the presidency has revealed some difficulties in recovering some loots from former government officials.
President Muhammadu Buhari

Lack of funds is stalling Nigeria’s effort to trace and recover its stolen monies, and prosecute former government officials responsible for the heist, the presidency has said.

A letter by the Presidential Advisory Committee on Corruption (PACC) to a United Kingdom-based anti-corruption organisation, Global Witness, soliciting assistance in raising funds, revealed that due to the fall in crude oil prices and the general economic downturn, the government lacked the needed funds to pursue recovery of loots.

The letter, dated February 15, 2016, was signed by the Executive Secretary of PACC, Bolaji Owasanoye, and directed to the Director of Global Witness, Simon Taylor.

It stated that the commitment of the government to tackle Boko Haram insurgency, fight corruption and improve the livelihood of Nigerians through job creation, was being hampered by dwindling oil revenue and mounting debts.

Mr. Owasanoye, a professor, argued that the economy could not be revived simply by improving revenue generation, without wiping out corruption and recovering money stolen by former officials.

He said ongoing investigations into the diversion of arms funds by the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki, and ex-military chiefs, show that significant amount of the money needed by the government to alleviate poverty were still in “the pockets and bank accounts of looters of public funds”.

He said intelligence reports and court rulings elsewhere have shown that there were more funds to be recovered from the immediate past Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, the fraudulent sale of OPL 245 by Malabu Oil and Gas, a company owned by “a well-known money launderer”, Dan Etete, assets traced to former Delta State Governor, James Ibori, and former military ruler, Sani Abacha.

He however explained that due to the multi-jurisdiction of the cases, and the exorbitant charges of professionals such as lawyers, forensic financial investigators, and the ability of the suspected officials to use part of the alleged stolen fund to challenge the recovery of the fund, the government needed huge flow of resources.

“However, this poses a major problem. An empty treasury means that the money is not currently available for the government to engage these professionals due to the high fee that they charge.

“Even in cases where service will be given on contingency basis the initial seed fund required to start the process is not affordable. As a result, the action the government urgently seeks to take is being stymied,” Mr. Owasanoye wrote.

He argued that the government’s capacity to pursue all potential cases would be greatly boosted by the creation of an Assets Tracing, Recovery and Litigation Fund from which lawyers, investigators and forensic auditors will be paid.

He added that the government was also working on an arrangement where professionals engaged would be paid only on successes recorded.

“Once engaged, government can negotiate with the professionals to earn only success fees. Each professional engaged will secure its own litigation funders to support their briefs,” he stated.

Mr. Owasanoye further revealed that government would not have got as much traction as it does in its drive to prosecute ex-officials, and in the recovery of funds, if it had not received a combined financial lifeline of $5 million from international organisations such as the Ford foundation, MacArthur Foundation and the Foundation to Promote Open Society.

“This fund is supporting the mandate of the Presidency Advisory Committee on Corruption which is co-coordinating the anti-corruption effort of the government and promoting improved criminal justice administration.

“In light of the very dire economic situation of the moment this support and the proposed Assets Tracing, Recovery and Litigation Fund, is crucial to government ability to get recovery assets to support social welfare projects for the impoverished majority of Nigerians.

“Furthermore, funding support will enable government to use money that would have otherwise gone to professionals for assets recovery for other social protection projects,” he wrote.
