A passenger became so frustrated that she took off her skirt at
London Stansted airport to protest airport security delays. Eimear Ni
Ghiallgairrh was arrested by police after she undressed in front of a
queue of passengers.
The 29-year-old from Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, was travelling to
Barcelona on January 21 for an architecture job interview and had
arrived at the airport only 90 minutes before her flight.
According to reports, the former primary school teacher said she
took the drastic step after she stepped through a body scanner only to
be told by staff that she was considered dangerous and may be concealing
 something.
The woman revealed she had to strip to show security men she was
not concealing anything on her person to make things go faster on the
queue.
As she was arrested she broke her thumb before being escorted to an
on-site police station where she was held for 15 hours and then
released, Metro reports.
Prosecutor Karen Phillips, told the court: ‘She refused to be searched, became heated, got agitated and removed her skirt, standing in her tights.
‘Members of the public around were distressed as she was undressing. She also banged on the desk angrily.’
